The EH5000ACII, our largest rigid-frame haul truck, is suitable for a variety of applications. It is propelled by a Hitachi/Siemens AC-drive system and features updated truck-frame design for greater durability. AC-retarding to near-zero ground speed reduces brake wear and lowers operating costs. It comes with a choice of two engines-power ratings, two final-drive rations, and a customized body.

Features on the EH5000ACII include:

  • Double-walled, 11-gauge steel-paneled cab with flat-panel-style dashboard
  • 6-position air-suspension operator seat
  • 3-point rubber iso-mount on cab
  • New Hitachi system monitor
  • Hitachi/Siemens IGBT AC-Drive system
  • AC-retarding to near zero speed
  • HI-TECH ROPS/FOPS Cab

    HI-TECH ROPS/FOPS Cab

The new HI-TECH (Hitachi Technology) ROPS/FOPS Cab has been newly equipped with a Hitachi controller and a large centrally mounted color LCD – the same as used in the large Hitachi mining excavators. A full-sized trainer seat is provided. Heating capacity of 40,000 BUT/hr and cooling capacity of 30,500 BTU-hour is provided. Improved cab airflow has assets/increased pressurization. A separate monitor displays live camera information from rear, front bumper, and right front tire areas. A 3-point rubber ISO-mount arrangement to the high-arch cross member minimizes vibration transfer to the operator compartment.

  • NEOCON struts

Independent trailing arms make up the front axle. NEOCON struts containing energy-absorbing gas and compressible NEOCON-E™ fluid are mounted between the trailing arms and frame. Inherent in the NEOCON strut design is a variable damping and rebound feature. The rear suspension is an A-frame structure, integral with axle housing. It links the drive axle to the frame at forward center point with pin and spherical busing. A track rod provides lateral stability between the frame and drive axle. Heavy-duty rear-mounted NEOCON struts containing energy-absorbing gas and compressible NEOCON-E fluid suspend the drive axle from the frame.
